    Hi guys,

I'm helping out a friend who's building a pond for a friend. The pond is 15 x 7 x 3 ft (about 9 ton) with an area of 8 x 8 ft covered by glass. They're having condensation problem and it's all foggy hence affect viewing through the glass. He thought putting a chiller for the pond will solve the condensation problem. Will it? Need to seek advice from experts in pond design here or those who actually have same design. Do you have similar problem? If yes, how did you solve it?

Thanks in advance for the kind assistance.

No chiller will not solve it similar to my marine tanks, if the ambient temperature is much higher than the tank, there will be condensation. For example I have condensation when my marine tank reaches 24 degrees and room temperature is 31. Similar to cold car aircon and condensation on the car windows I guess.

As I remember it, the water vaporization is a headache............... Unless Jamil has figured out a way to combat the issue.........

I use 2 dc powered fan to eliminate the condensation on the glass. The fan is podisioned at the far end of the pond and blow into the pond, it works for me altho i still have to take a dive in to clean the glass once awhile.
