After numerous adjustments from Shinkokai Japan for our Japanese judges, we have now able to pin down the date of the show. My sincere apologies for such changes and for the inconveniences caused.

    ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Shinkokai Malaysia is pleased to announce that the 3rd Wakagoi Show shall be held on 6th October 2013 at LG Rainforest, 1 Utama Shopping Center.

Following from the high standards that were set in last year's Wakagoi Show, this year's young koi show promises to be another exciting event. Shinkokai Malaysia would like congratulate the efforts of the past winners and here, we would like to throw our invitations for more challengers this year as we are expecting this year's event to be even better and fun-filled than the previous years.

It is therefore crucial that all avid hobbyist should start preparing and conditioning their kois now as more challengers await this coming October 2013 as we unveil to see which koi will be the next Grand Champion of Gosanke and Non-Gosanke!

Till then, stay tuned for more exciting developments......

Thanks Bro Elmen for starting the volunteer list.

Gerry, volunteers are tasked with the responsibility to assist in the following:
    1) Confirming fish entry as registered
    2) Ensure fish entered are not oversized according to their categories
    3) Make sure fishes are placed according to their categories
    4) Facilitate the entire judging process
    5) Assist judges in identifying the fishes for judging
    6) Collate and record the results of judging
    7) Assist the judges in any other tasks required during the judging process

Hope the above clarifies your query and thanks again for coming forward.

    1) Yamakoshi Mura (Tropicana, KL and Sungai Dua, Penang)
    2) Gosanke Koi (Taman Desa)
    3) Cheras Aquarium (Near PGRM, Cheras)

    Bro @SengChoon,

Sorry, a newbie question: The registration page talks about tanks:

"Once you pay for your tank, your dealer will provide a tank ID (Xyy - where X = A (2m tank) or B (1.5m tank) or C (1.2m tank) and yy = 2 digit numbers) for you. For example: Tank A01, Tank B23, Tank C99"

...but for Wakagoi all use bags right?

    Bro Pandai,

You are right... Wakagoi show only use PVC bags.

Our apology for the confusion... We actually use the same system for both Shinkokai and Wakagoi shows. Let me contact the developer to see whether we can hide the above help text... Once you register all your koi entries, please proceed to pay and collect the PVC bags from your supporting dealer. Thanks.

    Hi guys,

Apologies for not reverting earlier as I have been travelling quite frequent lately. The response to your queries are as follows:

    1) Tank no
As our judging head, Bro Daniel Lee, has already mentioned, this system is designed for both Shinkokai and Wakagoi shows so there will some field that are redundant since this time is the Wakagoi Show.

There will be no tank number. So you don't need to key-in. The most important information that you need to get when you register is the fish ID. The fish ID will allow us to ascertain information on owner, variety, size, sex and koi handler, which is essential for this show. So when you register, please make sure a fish ID is generated after you complete your registration.

    2) Tender
In the past, we used the system to track participants who wants to put their fish up for tender during koi shows, hence the tender field was created. For this show, there will be no such event this time, so just put "No" under this field.

    3) Payment
Please note that after you register, you need to go to one of our supporting dealers to make payment and collect your PVC bags. Hence, it is crucial that you put the name of the supporting dealer that you will be making payment to as your koi handler. This will allow us to confirm your participation and payment.

I hope I have answered all your concerns. If you need further clarification or information, please do not hesitate to sms me at 016-211 6799 or pm Bro Daniel Lee.

    Thanks.

As for the auction kois, we have yet to receive a response from Japan on the kois for auction. We shall update the forum as soon as it is available.

With regards to the query on oxygen tank, there will be a couple of oxygen tanks available for your use on show day. It is available on a self-service basis from 6am onwards.

I hope all queries have been answered. Please stay tuned for more updates.

    Hi Ray2k,

    1) The will be a couple more auction fishes. However, they don't have certs. You will have to come to view them on Sunday. The fishes for auction are also much bigger than what you see on the certs, so its best to view them live before the auction.

    2) The show venue will be opened to the public in stages at 12 noon. Hence, you can come to view the show fishes then.

    Thanx Bro Seng Choon.

I have to attend some functions at noon and then I also have a dinner. But will try to make the auction if the timing is right.

Only 1 problem. Money no enough. Not yet receive BR1M. :-D

    Hi everyone,

I hope by now everyone has gone back to their normal routine even though some may still have some backache, like myself. In any case, I am sure most of us had lots of fun last Sunday and it is indeed a privilege to meet everyone again after our last show in April this year. My heartiest congratulations to all the winners and I hope you can come back again next year to defend or improve the titles won.

Before we close of this chapter of Wakagoi, the organising committee of this show (comprising myself, Bro Daniel Lee, Andrea, Wong You Hua, Bro Jeremy Lim) would like to thank the volunteers, participants, supporting dealers and the sponsors for the vociferous commitment and support given -without any of them, this show would not be a success. Other than the above, we would also like to apologise for any shortcomings that we may NOT have measure up in this show. Please feel free to point out to us on the areas we can improve on and we shall make a concerted effort towards meeting them in the next show.

Last but not least, just a reminder for participants who have had 8 entries or more, kindly note that you have qualified to receive our limited edition t-shirt. Please inform your dealer on your preferred shirt pattern (2 kois or 3 kois design), your preferred shirt colour (black or white) and most importantly, your size (M, L, XL or XXL).

Thanks again and see you all in the next coming show.

    Cheers!

Bro Seng Choon, salute to your relentless effort for the past 4 Shows as show chairman. #:-s

Even if there were any untoward incident, which I am sure there is none, I think we all as hobbyist should sit back and reserve our comment and be thankful to all the volunteers that make these koi shows possible. It is easy for us to pass remarks but I think we should all choose to be thankful instead for all the hard work our koi kichis have put together for the benefit of the rest.

    Salute to the show committee..
