One of my client have dig the pond and pond liner work is started for 240K tonne capacity water.
    Need suggestion on below points..

    Length – 33.528 meters
    Width – 10.0584 meters
    Height - 1.524 meters

    1. Do koi pond of over 240 tonne of water need aeration or water movement?
    2. Can kois grows easily with out oxygen, if space is huge?
    3. The water is natural river water with all perfect parameters, temperature is 15-23 degrees all time, every day Relief rain happens
    Thanks,

Bro ashfaq, did you mean 240 tonne? 240K tonne is 240,000 tonne!!! :O One olympic sized swimming pool is only 2,500 tonne.

I would suggest that the pond be divided into three ponds, a 120 ton pond for big and jumbo kois, a 80 to 100 ton pond for medium size kois and a 10 to 20 ton chilled(for koi show finishing or to achieve four season) and can acts as a tosai growout pond

Brother @Hdcu, there will be NO electricity there, its hilly area. Thats why we are planning for 240 tonne. This is just for keeping tosais and nisais. Another same size or even bigger will be dig for growing Jumbos.

    Problem is NO electricity here.
Please clarify on the below points, it will be helpful to decide..

    1. Do koi pond of over 240 tonne of water need aeration or water movement?
    2. Can kois grows easily with out oxygen, if space is huge?
    3. The water is natural river water with all perfect parameters, temperature is 15-23 degrees all time, every day Relief rain happens
    Thanks,

    1. If it is a green pond , lightly stocked and temperature does not go above 24C then it is ok without aeration or any water movement.
    2. answer related to above
    3. then it is possible IMHO

It's a mud pond then? Here's mine without aeration and quite heavily stocked. I run fresh water from the mountain 24-7. It's 20 m * 20 m with total 500 tonne of water. It has been running for 6-7 months this season without any problem. I'm planning to run this for another 3 months before harvest it and disinfect the whole pond before another season of use.
