    Hi guys,

The show will be held in one of the malls in Klang Valley. As we are currently trying to pin down the venue, we shall make the approriate announcement when it is finalised.

In conjunction with the show, we are looking for 25 volunteers to assist in the judging and the koi benching of the koi show. For those who are interested to help, we would appreciate very much if you come forward.

On another note, we are also currently shortlisting the koi dealers that will be invited to be supporting dealers for this event. We shall be issuing the invitation letters next week.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Hi guys,

    Thanks for the support.

But for the first time, I would like to suspend the volunteer status of one of our brothers. He is none other than our Bro Pandai. I am sure he is very eager to help but we are more eager for him to reach full recovery and attend and assist in more koi shows in the future. Until we are sure he is fit to undertake the tasks on hand, we shall put him on our suspend list for now. I am sure all our other brothers and sisters would do the same as we would like to see him fit and running around in our future kois shows.

In the meantime, please keep the list rolling.

    Bro Pandai,

Although you are suspended for now, we will reserve a slot for you at the Secretariat for administrative duties and where little physical strain is involved. For now, we can only accept your verbal and intellectual contribution and not the physical side :-@

    Bro puathiantat,

The closing date for the volunter acceptance will be mid-March or when the 25 slots is filled.

    Hi everyone,

Just a quick update on the show venue. The show venue has been confirmed to be one of the malls in KL. However, as the venue management can only revert formally by end of this week, we can only make the appropriate announcement when we get the relevant confirmation.

    Dear koiBoy,

The koi sizes for the show range from 18bu to over 80bu.

    Hi guys,

Sorry for the long silence as we are tied down with confirming the show venue.

We have narrowed our show venue to two locations i.e. Sunway Putra Mall or Berjaya Times Square. The finalisation of the show venue will greatly depend on the cost that will be charged by the management of both venues. The property management of Berjaya Times Square has yet to revert to us on the rental and hence, has affected our finalisation and announcement to all hobbyist.

We hope we can finalise the venue by this week. Thanks again for all your patience.

Sorry Bro Megatron. We had some issues with the venue previously and it is now solved.

We are pleased to inform that the 3rd Shinkokai Koi Show shall now be held at Viva Home Shopping Mall (previously known as UE 3 Mall), Kuala Lumpur. In short, its normally called Viva Mall. The location map to the mall is attached below.

The mall has been refurbished recently after it re-branded. It is the first of its kind in Malaysia, a mall that brings together an exciting and diverse range of home retailers under one roof to fulfil the demands of home owners and home lovers alike. Whether you are decorating a new home, renovating an existing one or simply looking to fill it with fun and flair, this mall offers countless choices.

You check out more details of the venue at www. vivahome.com.my.

    Attention everyone!

Please find below the show program and latest shows rules & regulations (corrected some typo errors) for your attention.

FYI...The online registration system will be made available soon. In the meantime, I would encourage you to book and pay for your tanks with any of the following supporting dealers soonest possible.

    1) Yamakoshi Mura
    2) Gosanke Koi
    3) Cheras Aquarium
    4) Niigata Yamakoshi Matsuda Koi Farm
    5) JK Koi (Sgp)

Once you pay for your tanks, your dealer will provide tank IDs (Xyy – where X = A (2m tank) or B (1.5m tank) or C (1.25m tank) and yy = 2 digit numbers.... eg. A28, B13, C05 etc) to you. You will then need to enter the assigned tank IDs when you register your koi entries in the system.

Our next booth participant is a Company from Indonesia, namely Rajawali Hiyoto PT. They specialises in sealant, namely for ponds and natural stones. Their pond sealant is branded under FLEXYCOAT Waterponding and the natural stones protective series is branded under ARCA.

Wah, thanks for all the updates so far Bro SC , I'm starting to drool already :-D

Indeed Narita Koi farm is top notch dealer with it's amazing facilities for Nishikigoi. What makes Narita famous is not their facilities alone, it's the involvement of Ryuki San himself. Humble and knowledgeable gentleman who will answer all ur question even if you're a newbie :)

    Hi everyone,

Recently, there were some clarification on security, PVC bags and water management of tanks by certain participants. Hence, I would like to address them here so as to clarify the questions raised:

For the information of everyone, our clarification is as follows:

    1) PVC Bags shall be provided FOC to all participants who have rented a tank at the show. PVC Bags are provided mainly for entry at 40bu and below.

    2) However, participant who DO NOT rent a tank would be required to pay RM150 for per fish entry at 40bu and below.

    3) There will security at the show ground from 10pm on 19 April 2013 till 6pm on 21 April 2013 on a 24 hours basis

    4) Water in tanks shall be maintained at the height of 50cm or two-thirds of the height of the tank. Hence, water volume for the various tank sizes shall be approx 600 liters for 1.25m tank, 880 liters for 1.5m tank and 1,550 liters for 2.0m tank.

    5) All tanks shall be salted at least 0.35%. Additional salt can be made avialable to those who need it.

    6) The air-conditioning at the expo are separately controlled by us and hence, it shall be turned on daily during the show.

    7) Benching of fishes shall be controlled by the benching team and any removal of fish before de-benching would require security clearance from the benching team

I hope the info provided is adequate. If you require further clarification, please do not hesitate to post them here
