    Hi All,
I had seen many queries on calculation on pond measurement, conversion, dosage and etc. So starting this thread...

    1) Pond Water Measurement
    - 1 m X 1 m X 1 m = 1 cubic meter = 1 ton water
    Ex: Pond is 2 m X 2 M X 1 M = 4 cubic meter = 4 ton
    - 1 feet X 1 feet X 1 feet = 1 cubic feet = 28.3 liter
    Ex: 10 feet X 10 feet X 5 feet = 500 cubic feet = 14, 150 liter /14.15 ton
    - If irregular pond, can use salting method
Ex: 50 kg salt used and the salinity shows 0.5%, calculation =
    50 X 100 divide 0.5 = 5000/0.5 = 10,000. So the pond size is 10,000 liters

    2) Conversion

    - 1 US gallon = 3.785 liter
    - 1 UK gallon = 4.546 liter

    3) Dosage
    - Potassium Permanganate (KmNO4) - 2 g for 1 ton with 0.3% salinity
    - Kenkona - 1 liter for 60,000 liter with 0% salinity
    -S1 - 1 liter for 1 ton with 0.5% salinity
    - Dimilin - 2 g for 1 ton with 0.5% salinity
    - Sodium Bicarbonate - 100 g for 5 ton per day. Monitor until desired pH achived

Sifu's and Bro's, correct me if any of the above is wrong and more input please...

Bro Kominato, No problem. Still have more to learn on the dosage. Hope to have more input.

Bro Kevin, We can do experiment on the pond when we meet up ;-)

It's a terrible idea to use PP with salt!

Bro Ryant, yes 250 ml for 15 ton, but 0% salt. Also please stop feeding and off Uv

Bro James, message noted. I read somewhere its safe to use salt but not necessary to use it. Thanks again

    Bro TK,

For salt, better take a small amount water and salt to test, different salt will have different salinity result. That's why always rely on your salinity tester and not on KG of salt put in water.

    Bros ,

There is nothing wrong using PP and salt , one of those old taboo, but make sure plenty of O2 . Have tried it many times, everytime before they go into main pond from QT :-D Read up on "salt and no vinegar article" by DG . NEVER use Transmore with salt #:-s
    Good work TK.
