This is the other Sakai Showa mentioned under Shukri's latest addition thread. Would be much nicer if it had equivalent mutoguro on both sides. Also attached a few pics of the 2 showas side by side - which do you prefer at this point?

    Bro,

Of the two showas, I find the top one in the last pic better. Hi is evenly spread thorughout the body to the tail.

Thanks...I like him better too, but both have minimal hi at the tail tube...hope more colour emerges there! If you look at the 2nd last pic, they each have a tiny spot of beni on the face at reverse ends next to a sumi streak on their heads...like a mirror image. Cute couple.

Will drop by soon to see your koi again.

Bro Sam, you don't say. It's 530am (baby feeding time), am still recovering from my terrible allergy, and I'm looking at gorgeous Isa fish! Must say this batch is very attractive....told myself I wouldn't splurge on quality fish this season but this is proving hard to resist. I got the little guys above to prepare myself for better pieces next season like the ones Bro Soo keeps popping up with...but man, how lah how? ;) Quite a few kindais there which I like too....hmmm.......

Bro, grab your favorite before it is too late... Yamakoshi is offering a nisai fish at tosai price, you could possibly get such a quality fish at much higher price (yen300K ~ yen500K) even if you buy direct from Japan...I was told by Isa the breeder that this batch of fish are of excellent quality with good body structure, he see them daily during his mud pond inspection routine. these are value for your money at this stage...

Frankly Yamakoshi presence actually drove the price of koi down significantly. I remember paying crazy price for stupid fish 10 months ago. Now whenever I look at those fishes I always ask myself .. why so stupid previously ... Take it slowly.. Only buy quality kois at good price.. Don't buy a fish because its cheap but of bad quality.

200K yen for those fishes are a steal.. Better buy 1 good fish than 10 bad fish which you have to cull later.

Bro Soo, am thinking about your fishes a lot. Uploaded to my phone to study and salivate over. My issue is one of timing and readiness. Very glad Yamakoshi is around - very dynamic and entrepeneurial I must say, with the hobbyist in mind. Hope to meet you soon.

ha ha.. actually its not about $$$.. All my more expensive fish don't win me much award.. The secret is to get some help from award specialist like Aaron and Ben.. Guaranty win or money back...

Bro Soo, my HSBC card was discarded way back in 2004. My family had very bad experience with this bank too.... tell u about it over drinks!

Got Citi, Alliance, SCB only.... but IPP not so syok o... if it's 12-months and so happen the koi koyak before all instalments are full then i cannot imagine the agitation...

But it sort of does ease the budget burden....

INSURANCE? I was thinking about it even before I started this business...

Yamakoshi is a Hobbyist's Dealer, if you have any desire, roll it out and we will do what is possible...

    Cheers...
