    Ben xD,
These are my latest addition. What do you think?
Can put in the coming Show? The Dainichi Showa is 12cm, Sakai Sanke is 10, and Sakai Kohaku is 10cm.
    Sanke cannot la........

Bros, thank you for the favorable comment. The Dainichi Showa was gotten from Atari Taman Desa, the best of the lot actually. It looked even better in real life. OK, I have to really work on the fella as Kit has given me the pressure, else he is going to confiscate the Tosai from me.......
The other two pieces was gotten from Atari Tropicana, selected from among 25 pieces special Tosai.

    Bro Kelvin,
There is a lot more Showa still left at Atari Taman Desa and Tropicana.

Wah how come I miss that nice Dainichi Showa piece when I was at Taman Desa? My eyes not tajam enough lah. Very nice piece. Got 2 Sakai showas but none with your sort of mutoguro. But I think the kohaku and sanke have good future too. Will post some pics of my get...one of my two new Sakai showas going to bro Elmen not sure which yet. The only Dainichi piece I got was a regular Tancho - didn't intend to but that fella kept popping up until I picked it up haha. Itchy behind.....am supposed to be reducing pieces before acquiring.....see lah newbie indiscipline.

This is the Dainichi Tancho I picked up. Pics taken today. It looked quite clean to me - could not resist. Tancho patch not round but pretty even. No idea if secondary hi will emerge since so young. There were a few other similar pieces in the same pond, lumped together with the Dainichi showas at Taman Desa Atari.

This is the Sakai Showa picked out by Bro Elmen - will probably end up in his pond! Also from Atari Taman Desa. Pls comment as I acquired these mainly for learning purposes. Given how Showas develop, I will likely learn most from this piece. Sorry for reflection - still working on photography skills!

Denning, both fishes are good choices. About the Tacho, really very easy to make it round.

Bro Denn, nice tancho u have. Nice mushroom patch, never tough the shoulder & eye. Good body line with good shiroji, show quality fish. The hi plate look week at the last picture which i believe is due to reflection of light.

Haha thanks guys! Will update you all how these fish grow. The last piece I am posting on this thread (sorry Shukri!) is one I like a lot - a Sakai Sanke also from Atari Taman Desa. Most friends who have seen this say that it has a short-ish mid-section and might not lengthen much and would do better if it had a little hi or sumi at the tail tube end. But I like it nonetheless. If you ask me, I kinda like this piece the best of the three (am a sucker for Sanke) - tells you how much I know! Would love your comments good or bad.

The spot on the head looks more like a kutsubera ;) But as bang shukri says, a little cut here and there, voila! perfect tancho. You are right - its clean.

Between what shukri picked and the one elmen picked for you, there isnt much in it...both are good pieces with nice balanced pattern. Only after 9-12 months can you see which will be better in terms of the bodyline and of course the skin quality.

Den, the more you shop, the more you learn. The more you learn. the more you will shop. It is a vicious cycle :)))))
