Can't help spoiling them, what HAVEN"T they had to eat? They eat more expensive food than I do. |

Name: ogopogo Size: many most 90 gal. Occupants: many freshwater species bass Filtration: penguin biowheels 330 X2 / fluval 103/ several powerheads/ bubblewands Lighting: 4 48 inch flour full spec. Substrate: sandblasting sand and big rocks Location: British Columbia, Canada Comments: I urge you to try Bass. Make your own tanks from glass or plywood and one side glass. Make your own equipment. When I started my heaters were 25 watt light bulbs hanging in the water and my pumps were dishwasher pumps salvaged for free. As an aquarist I urge you to try to learn something about what you are keeping. Go snorkeling in the local river or lake. Watch the snails, fish and local plant communities. Observe how bright a sunny day is at 5 feet and experience the havock a summer windstorm plays with a beach aquatic community. Feel what happens in a stream during a summer rainstorm. Keep some of these creatures in a tank at home. Try diving beetles, frogs, sculpins, and other fish. Good luck to all. |
