Scientific Name: Rotala macrandra

Range: South- Eastern Asia

Ease of Keeping: VERY demanding

Lighting: Very bright

Adult Size: 20+ inches, I am unsure how big it actually gets. Everyone cuts it after it reaches the top of the aquarium.

Aquarium Requirements: Under good conditions and bright lighting this plant grows bright red leaves. This plant is extremely difficult to grow. In order to keep the bright red leaves, you will need around 4 watts per gallon, or 3 watts, some CO2, and lots of luck.

Many new and old aquarists have drooled over pictures of this plant, but my advice would be to keep drooling. It is also rarely seen in fish stores. If you do decide on this plant, you will most likely have to search online.
