The fish are, for the most part, healthy. There is lots of algae in his tanks but all us long time fishkeepers know that a bit of algae will generally do more good then bad, even if it is unsightly to some. The staff are very helpful and have a good base knowledge of fishkeeping practices. If something is not in stock they are willing to special order it for you. They sometimes will get unusual species like ropefish or discus in as well. The few small animal enclosures in the store housing rats, mice, and a few guinea pigs were pretty filthy but I am pretty sure they are being sold as "feeders" and unfortunately due to the low cost of feeder animals they aren't usually treated well in any store.
