Shop Name: Terri's Aqualand Location: Loves Park Illinois Shop Address: 6125 N 2nd St Reviewed By: Bruce Date Of Review: September/2008 Overall: Poor Times Visited: Two to Four Times Freshwater Selection: Poor Saltwater Selection: Poor Stock Selection: Poor Staff: Poor Prices: Fair Comments: The tanks didn't look well maintained at all and the girl in the fish section didn't know much about the species being sold and didn't seem to notice obvious defects in some of the fish(crooked spines, missing fins, etc.) The last time I went i bought a 7 inch pleco from a ten gallon tank and he ended up getting stuck in the net for what seemed like 5 minutes because the girl had her stupid nail job and just kept poking him and shaking the net until he fell out. After I got him home I was glad I quarantined because he turned out to have parasites!
Comment : i have recently found terri's aqualand/pet center and have found them to be very knowledgeable and helpful to a beginner. the tanks are not 10 gallon tanks and are kept in good condition. i have been there more than a handful of times and have yet to see a poor tank or poor fish. another aquatic store recommended them to me as they have a larger selection, which they do and i love that. they are really great to talk to and ask questions to as well. i was looking for a new lfs due to the poorness of the petco store on e. state in rockford. they got me all messed up with my new tank and have lost several fish due to that. this site and terri's have helped me get my tank on the right track. i would recommend them at the drop of a dime for sure.

Comment : In regards to (Bruce) Im sorry to say but i visit Terri's Aqualand all the time. The selection of fish is quite large. To set you straight they do not have any fish in 10 gallon tanks. You claim your Pleco had a Parasite if you know that,you should know your tank sizes. As far as there staff. They have what i believe to be the most knowledgeable staff in the pet store business. So because you had a bad day dont take it out on a wonderful Pet store (Terri's Aqualand & Pet Center)..
