Comments: This shop located on 92nd and Oklahoma acctually makes their own acrylic custom aquariums! They also carry many supplies that either aren't carried elsewhere or are rediculously expensive elsewhere. They also have some of the best saltwater prices around. They also play jamaican music continuously. However, the livestock are often not healthy. On several occasions I have removed dead bettas from their shelves to be disposed of properly, and every time I've been in the store their hermit crabs have been without water and are deceased. Dead fish are not removed promptly. They also carry many questionable saltwater fish such as Moorish Idols in great volume (wild caught in Sri Lanka, I saw the box they were delivered in.). However, for the seasoned shopper, smart buys can be had. While I don't like to buy fish from them, they have a lot of supplies that I can't get anywhere else like Attison's Betta Spa and Purple Up. They also carry many medications that aren't common like Acriflavin.
Comment : I was just there for Christmas and Nicole is unbelievably awesome and helpful, much better then any other fish store I had been to. This was my first buy and needed everything. She took the time to explain every little detail and I was very happy with the prices. I would recommend this place.
Comment : there is one person as far as staff that is knows whats going on as far as fish here.... Shes always there with glasses and you'll hear her explaining everything in detail with 2 people waiting to talk regarding fish. All other sales give poor advice and say not to buy any rock but live rock to score quick bucks...BEWARE of expensive live rock with nothing live!
Comment : I did not think the staff rating should be fair but it should be horrible.I've been buying a few stuff from the store several times. However I went there in february 2007 with my 3 years old toddler. My toddler wanted a fish and also some candy that were sold in the store in one of those machine that accepts quarters. On one of the machines, it was broken such that you will get more candies for a quarter. I did not know that, however a clerk at the store was fast to insult me that I should not show a good example of trying to cheat for my kid. And also asked to pay extra quarters up front. However, i did not know that the machine was broken, and the store owner should have told in advance or fix the machine itself. There were two staff, one with a ponytail was helpful and helped me and explain everything I wanted, however the other one maybe the owner was being horribly rude. After I bought several fishes, and ready to pay it, the rude staff asked the pony tail employer to add an extra 50 cents on my tab for taking extra candies from the broken machine. I was exremely angry but at the same time did not want any trouble, so I left the store very depressed. I will never buy at the store again . I do not understand this treatments , this is very insulting and at the same time will lose customers. Try treating other customers better, I for sure will not be their customers anymore
