Comments: This is THE BEST aquarium shop I have been to. Pity its a bit far from me that I cant go often. They specialise in aquariums and ponds. They have all equipment, fishes, supplies etc.
The staff are very knowledgeable and are always willing to provide their advice in a friendly manner. If you don't understand anything or don't know what an equipment is or a particular fish or something, they are very willing to show you and teach you about an equipment.
They have the largest fish collection on display I have every seen. Whether it be tropical fish or cold water fish, Australia natives such as the cods or shrimps or snails they have them all.They also sell hermit crabs. PLUS they also stock a huge range of plants which they plant themselves so are able to give your honest and accurate advice about the growth environment etc. They have wall to wall fishes.
They also carry a wide range of educational books and DVDs for keeping all sorts of aquariums and ponds. Also they have all the co2 supplies, lighting, furniture, aquarium tanks, heaters, foods, cleaning equipment and all other supplies imaginable.
Another reasons to shop there is their opening hours. Not only are they open 7 days a week but also open on public holidays and open till 6pm and 7pm on most nights unlike other pet shops which close at 5.
I have found Boronia Aquariums to be the only shop that responds to any email queries. Plus questions posted on their forum gets responded to by the staff and the customers.
I would rate this shop a 10 out of 10.

Name: FRED NURKE Comments: You have got to be kidding?? The shop doesn't even have a marine section !! Doesn't have a Cichlid tank tank worth mentioning and don't get me started about the level of staff knowledge. One of the most over rated shops in Melbourne.
Comment : This is a great store. The fish are healthy and they have a huge plant range. They are the only shop I know that displays their water parameters to their customers and they won?t sell you the wrong fish for your tank. Also they only aquarium store I know that has their own vet. The other guys review was correct they don?t stock any marine fish but they do keep the African cichlids on coral sand and with the colours of some africans you could mistake them for marines if you didn?t know otherwise. I think it?s the best shop in Melbourne but I don?t shop around much anymore.
