Comments: I have to agree with the comment made about the poor attitude of the employees at Tong's. The strange thing is that this is a different Tong's than the one that last comment was about. But indeed, even at the Tong's in Fountain Valley, the employees are snooty early 20-somethings who really could care less about the customers, they like to hang out and talk to each other, and if you interrupt them, they seem very annoyed at you for doing so. They answer your questions tersely, and often INCORRECTLY, with a hurried manner because they want to get back to hanging out with their friends. They will tell you whatever they think you want to hear just so long as it gets you to go away faster. They have lost ALOT of my business because of this.

Comment : Amazing selection of corals but pricing is very high and oddly marked. They will put something like ?$99 each? on the glass tank but it doesn?t matter if it?s a tiny mushroom or a large coral, they will not budge on price trying to make up the difference on unsuspecting customers. Not sure if it?s the owner or manager but the guy that seems to run the place always seems to sell the most expensive product on the shelf weather it works or not. Know what you are buying if you go there. They seem to bend the rules a lot until they get caught. Selling things like Calurpa which they told me they got fined for. Certain types of this Macro Algae are illegal to sell in California because it has been dumped into the ocean and become a problem. Recently noticed them selling Seahorses under a brand name Ocean Rider claiming they were captive breed. The only problem was, OR did not sell them to that store and they have since taken down the sign.

Comment : I bought a light fixture that cost me 50 dollars more vs another place I saw. I wanted to return it. But they dont offer returns on dry goods. Only exchange. Boooooooooo!!! This is the last dry good I buy from them. As to employees, I was in luck and was helped fine but took a long time. I like there selection of fish and corals. Along with live rocks. But, stay away from dry goods. They just dont let you return. Thumbs down.
