Comments: One of my favorite fish stores, they are very well-kept with sparkling clean tanks full of healthy fish. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

If you are into freshwater plants, this is the best place that I have seen so far. All their plants seem to be in excellent condition and they have a lot of hard to find specimens (Marimo Balls, Java Moss, etc.) for the L.A. area.

The only thing I find not to my liking here is their aquarium supplies. Though they have selections for tanks (nano and huge ones), plus the related supplies, they seem to concentrate more on their live merchandise (which isn't a bad thing).

I think Mark's is one of the best lfs stores in the SFV. I drive 20 miles to get there @ $ 4.55 per gallon. They have THE BEST plant selection of any store I've been to. Don't miss the SALE price he offers, they are always good. I now have fw & sw tanks so I can browse the entire store. If I hit the lotter, I'm cleaning out his Discus inventory. One can dream, can't one?

He supports your local fish clubs, one of the few lfs to do so. So, please visit his store and check it out. Its worth the drive.

Very nice and healthy selection of SW and FW fish. One of the best shops for fish in L.A.
Staff is knowledgable and friendly depending on who's working that day.
Prices are decent on most livestock, overpriced on some.
Generally overpriced on aquarium supplies.
Clean place. Very good overall.

I'd rather have Mark's carry great livestock and plants. Best plant & fish selection I've ever seen. I save about 45% by buying my supplies on-line. A Magnum 350 Pro was $ 150 at the lfs and $ 99 @ Petco.com ($ 155 in the store)
