Redbreast Sunfish |
||||
By Andrew Christman AKA Snail
![]() Latin Name: Lepomis auritus Origin: Eastern US Temperature: 65-75°F (18-24°C) Ease Of Keeping: Easy Aggressivness: Varies with individual, can be aggressive. Lighting: Any Adult Size: 4-8" (10 to 20cm) Minimum Tank Size: 30 Gallons Feeding: Worms, bugs, may eventually come to accept frozen food. Comments: This interesting sunfish makes for a great addition to a single-species aquarium. They constantly protrol their aquarium, and will come to reconize the owner. I do not reccomend keeping it with any other fish (with the exception of catfish) because they are Cichlid-like in their behaviour. |
