Comments: Aqualand is the type of pet store that fish lovers dream about. While they don't carry any saltwater fish they have the most extensive selection of freshwater fish in town. Their betta selection is fantastic-they have a great variety of betta types.
I've bought many fish from them and they've all been excellent quality and very healthy. The staff is extremely knowledgable about the animals they sell. (In addition to fish they sell a variety of other animals.) They also have a great selection of live foods, and provide a substantial discount on their Aqualand fish food when you bring in your own container to put it in.
In addition they have a wonderful selection of supplies and tanks available and their live plant selection is fantastic.
They've written fact sheets on the animals they sell that are on the web and are always willing to answer questions by phone or e-mail. Because they're all the way across town from me I've e-mailed a couple times to see if they had somethng in stock before I made the trip-they've always responded very promptly with all the info I could need.
All in all I can't rave enough about Aqualand-it's wonderful.
Comment : This is one of the best places in DSM to get fish. The staff is VERY knowledgeable and know their fish business.
I went in there multiple times with water after having problems with my tank and not only did they test it for free, but gave advise on how to cure the problem.
They by FAR have the biggest selection of fish in town and some of the fish I have never even heard of.
I can't WAIT to get my tank under control so I can go visit them!!!
