This is a bog plant usually found in most garden centers as a house plant. It will live nicely in an aquarium for up to about 5 to 6 months at which time it needs to be taken out of the aquarium and potted. After about 6 months of this recuperation the plant can be divided at the rhizome and replanted in the aquarium. It has long wide dark green leaves each stemmed from the bottom. It tolerates most aquarium conditions, including those for African Cichlids.
