Scientific Name: Aponogeton madagascariensis

Range: Madagascar

Ease of Keeping: average to slightly demanding

Lighting: Prefers a shaded spot in a medium lit aquarium.

Adult Size: 10-16 inches (25-40 cm)

Aquarium Requirements: Prefers cooler water temps (around 22 C, 70-74 F), but can handle warmer tropical tanks if everything else is good (ferts, CO2, light).

This plant makes a good centerpiece plant for those that do not have high light tanks. It should put off about one leaf every 2-3 weeks. These plants, as most Aponogeton species, could require a dormancy period.
