Scientific Name: Bolbitis heudelotii

  Range: Eastern coast of Africa

  Ease of Keeping: Average

  Lighting: Low to Medium

Adult Size: 15-25 cm (6-10 inches)

Aquarium Requirements: It needs to be attached to a decoration such as driftwood or a rock in an area with good water circulation. Its anatomy is the same as Java Fern and its main growth is on the rhizome. The leaves are usually a darker green than Java Fern and are more “feather-like” in structure. It is a little more sensitive to water quality than the Java Fern, but makes a good next step after you master the Java Fern.
