Anacharis © KimmyM
Common Name: Anacharis

Scientific Name: Elodea or Egeria Densa

Temperature: 19 - 30°C (67-86°F)

Ease of growing: very easy

Lighting: low - high

Propagation method: cuttings and shoots

This plant is extremely easy to grow. It doesn't have a particular need, just lighting and that's about it, of course with higher lighting, fertilization and CO2 injection, the plant will thrive, but its not really necessary (I have fertilization, CO2 injection and high lighting and this plant grows about 2 inches every second day!). This is a great plant for beginners because it doesn't have very many requirements. Anacharis is looks best placed in bunches at the back of the aquarium and left to grow until it reaches the surface of the water.
