By fishkeeper
Common Name: Blue Tetra Latin Name: Boehlkea Fredcochui Origin: South American streams Temperature: 75-80°F (24-27°C) Ease Of Keeping: easy Aggressivness: peaceful Lighting: moderate Adult Size: 2 inches (5cm) Minimum Tank Size: 10 gallons Feeding: eats most aquarium foods, prefers live foods Spawning Method: like most tetras, egg scatterer Comments: A fish that's a bit rarer, but still easy to keep. Don't keep it with those large tetras. Adds a lot of color to your tank. It does prefer blackwater, so peat or black water additives will be appreciated. |
