Comments: The Austin Aquadome is not only one my top 3 fish stores in town, it is also something of a landmark in the local area.  It is literally a big blue dome that can be seen when driving down 71.  Surrounding the parking lot is a large selection of ponds, pond fish and pond supplies.  Once you enter the dome you will come to a good selection of tanks and supplies.  The tank and supply prices are reasonable for a LFS.  If you walk upstairs you will find a good selection of marine life.  Walk out back and you will come to a neatly organized selection of livestock.  They have a wide variety of community fish.  Lots of gouramis, rainbowfish, barbs and tetras can be found here.  They have a decent selection of African cichlids but a limited selection of their new world cousins.  Although the building is quite old the tanks are well cared for and the presentation is good.  The employees tend be reasonably knowledgeable.  Their livestock prices are unquestionably the best in town.  Their stock tends to be hardy farm bred or locally bred stock.  I have only lost a single fish purchased from the Aquadome and I have bought a lot of fish there.  I would strongly recommend the Austin Aquadome do anyone looking to buy quality community fish at excellent prices.
