Comments:
A very beutiful fish, does well with small schooling Tetras. Not really easy to spawn but well worth the effort. Make good parents after the first few attempts. Likes warm aquariums, would do well in a Discus tank. Highly desirable and very popular. A German bred variety exists which has enhanced coloration.

To help get a pair of rams to breed have them in a tank of 10-30 gallons and do a water change about every other day but the trick is when you put your water back in use a hose and spray the water accross the tank this drops the water temp alround just not in one area, and use dence vegation with flat rocks it works for me. Have taken many baby rams to many fish stores( baby blue rams and baby gaint rams), but dont mix the two together they frown upon this
