Wedding dress shopping is fun!  When I went to look for mine I knew I wanted ivory instead of white, and my Mom was sooooo upset about it.  I finally put a white one on to show her how awful I looked in white and she was like "Oh yeah, that's looks terrible go try an ivory one on".  LOL!

I was mainly set on ivory seeing as we're having a country chic wedding. There's a loft barn in the city that does weddings and I imagined an ivory dress would be more fitting in color. But this one is A-line, covered in flower appliques and sequins and lace so it's perfect for a spring wedding and once I put it on color didn't even matter any more lol

I am having a battle of the wills tho. I'd like to keep to tradition and not let eric see the dress until the day of the wedding. *But* eric would like to get a majority of the bride and groom photos done prior to the wedding so our guests won't have to sit and wait for the bridal party to get back for an hour. Which I can see his side on this, and I had the idea of getting a projection screen to do a slideshow of the engagement and bride and groom photos as a 'distraction' piece to make time go by for bridal party photos.

Opinions? Ideas?

I don't know... when you go to a wedding you expect to have some time to kill waiting while pictures are done.  It's not fun but that's the way it is.  I wouldn't want to have pictures done before the wedding at all.  Tell him I'm on your side.

Just let them at the bar while they wait and they won't mind.  I don't like the ideas of the pics before the wedding.

GG, nobody looks good in neon orange, that's one reason why they use it for county jail jumpsuits. Even if you're so naive as to not recognize them as jail apparel, nobody will pick someone up that looks so incredibly hideous. :hihi:

Ahaha! Before we were doing the "hypothetical" High Class Redneck Wedding and erics idea for his tux was an entire blaze orange Mossy Oak ... I put the kabash on that ... so we settled for the regular Mossy Oak vests, black or chocolate brown suits and he can have his blaze orange in the tie ONLY lol.

And the dollar dance wasn't to go towards the bride and grooms honeymoon, but for bail money because with our friends, who'd give Johnny Knoxville a run for his money, someones going to get obliterated drunk and go to jail lol

But that was the joking side of planing. Its going to be country chic, classy but with a rural flavor :)

Speak for myself-I don't look too bad in orange. I look better purple, of course! Or...I think I'd look good in hot pink...I'd just wanna try it! I has a purple shirt...not too shabby. You know, I look good in anything but light/neon green and bright pink and colors as such!   ... :dunno:
