Blue cobalt crayfish
« on: March 06, 2012, 04:17:03 AM »
I'm hoping maybe someone can help me out with information on the blue cobalt crayfish. I have never had one before and am really interested in them. I looked around on the net and found several articles on them and made a little list up of everything that I think I would need for one. If someone wouldn't mind looking over my list and making sure it sounds good and that I haven't left something I would need off my list that would be great. Here's my list so far:

20g Tank
Filter
Heater
Thermometer
Gravel
Decorations (Plants, Ornaments)
Prime Water Conditioner
Crab & Lobster Bites

You'll need a gravel vacuum for water changes, maybe a good hiding place for moulting, and a few more things to eat for variety. An ammonia, NitrIte and NitrAte test kit for cycling.

Cycle the aquarium first. If you don't know about that, just ask.

Thanks for the reply!

I'm sorry I should have mentioned that I do have a gravel vacuum and the API Freshwater Master Test Kit. I also know about the cycling process and have the pure Ammonia to do that with.

I will make sure to get some sort of hide and what other types of food would be good for one? Sinking Algae wafers?
