I thought you decided not to mess with the pH?

I did, but then I really wanted to try the PH Down before I added the stock, so I did and it lowered it and stabilized at that level. So that's when I added the fish. I have a system worked out now where I have an extra bucket I use to do refils from evaporation and later for water changes. In the system I add new water to the bucket from the tap, then add my water conditioner to it, put in the PH Down, and let it hold for a few mins before adding it to the tank water. So far it is working, my PH is not fluctuating and the little guy seems to be really happy and active.

Jon, you should try doing water changes once a week.  Makes for good healthy fish.
