An old newbie...

Hey, Petfish Community!

I used to be a regular visitor to your site, several years back, when I kept fish (albeit under a different username, which I've forgotten...). Spent hours reading through the posts, learning, and helping where I could. But, as things changed, and my interest waxed and waned, I eventually dismantled the tanks and focused on real-life (read: college sucks. :P). But, now, I've gotten back into the swing of things, so to speak, and I've returned to the aquarist trade.

I'm keeping it simple for now, with just a 5g betta tank and a 29g community, but my brother-in-law was actually offered a 60g setup (everything works but the hood/lighting fixture) for free. So, once we scrape together the money for a nice lighting fixture, and figure out somewhere to set the monster, we'll be working on getting that up and running, as well. Super excited about that, I've always wanted a large tank, but the 29g is the biggest I've ever really had the money/time to upkeep. So, we'll be taking suggestions for stocking that, as well.

But anyway, mostly I just wanted to thank the community here for being so helpful in the past, and I'm sure it will be no different, here in the future.

Hi there Skipwithr! Welcome to Petfish

Good to have you back with us (wish I could remember you from the past). That 29g community appears to be great but I do hope the angel gets so used to the neons that it never attacks them when it gets bigger.
If I had to live my life again, what would I avoid?

Welcome back to PF! Hope you'll be here for the long haul.

Ever notice in the Bible, whenever God needed to punish someone, make an example or needed a killing, he sent an angel? Ever wonder what a creature like that must be like? An existence spent praising your God, but always with 1 wing dipped in blood. Would you really want to see an angel?

Thanks :) And yeah, Essebee, I've got a ten-gallon set up as a QT/hospital tank (on an as-needed basis) that I'll move the tetras to, if the angel grows up and starts feeling a little...peckish. But I'm hoping that since he's being raised alongside them, and well fed, at that... that there won't really be any problems.
