Went to a st-hurbert restaurant today to fill out an employment application form. I know they are looking to hire 5 people to help in the kitchen. This restaurant hire students and give a formation. I hope they give me a chance.

I second that. good luck.

Ever notice in the Bible, whenever God needed to punish someone, make an example or needed a killing, he sent an angel? Ever wonder what a creature like that must be like? An existence spent praising your God, but always with 1 wing dipped in blood. Would you really want to see an angel?

Thanks you all

I got a call this morning for an interview at another restaurant. The canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons. I think my interview when well. They are supposed to call back winthing 7 days. If they call it's either for a second interview or to say i am hired. If they don't call it means they hired soemone else but it does not mean they won't hire me in the future. They keep my information for 6 months.

Hey Bast - keep the faith. I remember looking for my first job when I turned 15. I tried everything - convenience stores, supermarkets, dog walker, movie theatre. I ended up working for a dairy delivering milk in the morning - sadly a job that no longer exists but was tailor made for a fit youth - for little more than pocket money but it was my money. At 18 I started working in a liquor store. From 19 until graduated I interned in the HR department for the national power company. So keep the faith.
There is however one important underlying principle which must apply to all who have anything to do with living things. We must reconize the dignity which all creatures posess, and we must respect it for as long as we have them in our charge. - "Coldwater Fish" by Roy Pinks

Thanks. They did not call back but i went to the dollar store today and got a gretting card that said thank you. I wrote in it "thank for the interview" and signed my name. Sent it to the restuarant in question. I was really grateful that they gave me a chance.

An overlooked but always good thing to do.

Big time. Even if they didn't choose you this time, it gives you a leg up the next time they're hiring.

In business school, they taught us that a "thank you for the interview" letter was one of the most important things you can do as a followup when job hunting.

I did not get hired thought. I went there to order some donuts today and the manageress acted like she did want to spoke to me. She went talking to one of the employee when she saw me.
