That he is, as of the first week of August (which was the last time I weighed him), he was 7.5 months old, 80lbs, and 26.5 inches tall at the shoulder.  He seems to have paused on the upward growth and is expanding his ribcage in an attempt to fill out a little bit.

That shot of him splayed out on the couch ... yah that'd be me if I were a dog. Lol

And he is a big'un as most have commented. Very handsome guy though.

Ever notice in the Bible, whenever God needed to punish someone, make an example or needed a killing, he sent an angel? Ever wonder what a creature like that must be like? An existence spent praising your God, but always with 1 wing dipped in blood. Would you really want to see an angel?

I really miss having a big dog.  I love my little guys but I've always been a big dog kinda gal.  I love to be able to wrap my arms around them and hug them like a person.  And I like being able to pet them without having to bend over.

coulda been bigger, was talking today with his breeder, one of his litter mates (the biggest pup of the bunch from birth) just weighed in at 115lbs, and no he's not fat.....

and yes, totally a big dog person here, not that it doesn't have its disadvantages....for example he doesn't have to stretch much to reach the countertops any more....

Yeah there are advantages to the little guys.  Like they can run around the house and tire themselves out.  No counter surfing as you stated.  The biggest advantage for me is being able to handle them as I get older.  Lugging around a sick 90 pound pooch is no fun when you've got aches and pains of your own.

But I do love me some big dogs and give my neighbors fat black lab mix big old people sized hugs to get my fix.
