Does Prime work the same way?
"For the LORD hears the poor, and does not spurn those in bondage.
Let the heavens and the earth sing praise, the seas and whatever moves in them!"

The Zeolite, to my understanding, removes (or stores) the ammonia...  however, if you are using salt in your aquarium, salt RELEASES the ammonia from the zeolite... that is how it is reusable....

Zeolites can also be used in chemical filtration. Zeolite removes ammonia from your aquarium water and can be a fish life saver if you have high ammonia levels. Many first time fishkeepers mistakenly add too many fish to a new aquarium before it has cycled and experience the disappointing loss of their fish. Using zeolite during the cycling process in your aquarium filter can help prevent this from happening but it has the side effect of lengthening the time it takes to complete the aquarium nitrogen cycle.

The prime, while removing the chlorine, also neutralizes or locks away the ammonia/nitrites/nitrates while leaving them available to the bacterial filter.

Oh geeze, I forgot about the mention of salt. Scratch the zeolite if you're using salt. Prime works similarly, binds ammonia into a harmless form but is not recharged by salt. It will still register as present on most tests though, you need a non-Nessler reagent test for an accurate reading. Chloramine causes that same problem.

Here's an update on the situation everyone: The angelfish who is effected is doing great, not breathing heavy anymore and is still very active. It looks like the worms are slowly dying off and not being replaced, but its hard to tell. I think the medicine and salt is working and just needs some more time to completely kill off all the parasites.
