Immediately find some kind of container or you might end up losing both. It could be a large glass jar or even a Tupperware container.

What size is your current tank? Depending on your answer, adding a divider or another female to help diffuse the situation might help but there's no gaurantee of that.

Ever notice in the Bible, whenever God needed to punish someone, make an example or needed a killing, he sent an angel? Ever wonder what a creature like that must be like? An existence spent praising your God, but always with 1 wing dipped in blood. Would you really want to see an angel?

the chances of keeping two and only two female bettas in a tank together (safely with no fighting) are very small.  You need seperate them now (tupperware, bowl, glass jar, whatever works) or there is a very good possiblity that you will loose one of them in the near future.  If your tank is large enough add a 3rd female, else find a 2nd tank to keep the 2nd female in.  Female bettas are only marginally less aggressive than the males, they still fight, nip, and even kill their competitors.  With at least 3 females the aggression is spread out enough that USUALLY all the fish survive comfortably.  Note: this is not a guarentee of calm living, just what it takes to make it more likely.

I used to keep many, many bettas. I was never successful at keeping a sorority though.  All my females ended up living in solitary except when breeding.

You definitely need more than 2 to make it work. 3 minimum.  You need to separate them ASAP.

I've had 2 sororities and I've never had anything work out unless there were 4-5 females minimum. 100% of the time, in my experiences, is all going to come down on the individual fish. I've had some girls that just can't be kept with others.
