Technichally, anyway. Yesterday, I lost Spike; my blood parrot I've had for 9 long years. Ironically, he was the very first fish I ever had, and has outlived and/or killed every other fish I've bought in the span of time I've had him. The only fish that are left now are a smaller blood parrot and a lace catfish in the tank that Spike was in, but those are my girlfriend's fish. Once she gets her new 40 gallon up, running and cycled, she's going to want them back, which will leave me with an empty 29 gallon that I'm going to have to figure out what to do with.
Spike was more of a pet than an ornamental fish - he would eat out of my hand, try to attack you through the glass if he didn't know you, and would wrestle around with my hand if I held it in the tank. Every morning when I woke up, he'd be right there watching me (the tank is next to my bed.)
Spike was too big to flush, but he deserved better than that, anyway. There's a creek that runs through the woods behind the house, that forks with another creek that leads to my neighbor's property - I buried Spike in the bed of this creek, in the center of the fork.
With that off my shoulders - that 40 gallon I mentioned earlier should be ready soon. Soooo... what would go good in this 29
