People wouldn't be able to ship because its illlegal. It would have to be within state only.

I tried to delete this, but I can't, maybe because there's an active assigned mod. Asking if someone in state can send them is still legal anyway so I'll just take advantage of this opportunity to explain something that may not be clear. Illegal is illegal, and can get the board and board owners in trouble. If you're not in the same state or have the necessary permits, please don't do it. So until  Lori, Mollielover or SW can make the decision on it, I have to settle for asking people not to request something if it's illegal in your area.
If you live in the Philippines, some Provinces of Canada where there legal, asking about where to acquire snakeheads is fine. But if it's illegal in your area, figure on it getting deleted. If you put it back up, you will first be suspended, or banned if the board owners deem it was malicious.
Spixies and other snails cannot currently be shipped interstate without federal permits. Accidental inclusions are one thing, but if they become the norm for getting around the law, that's where idiotic bills like HR 669 start looking like good ideas to legislators. Let's not shoot ourselves in the foot, eh?

I'm going to let this stay, last time I looked into this they were not making ppl get permits any longer.  I don't know what the laws are as of today, but It's safe to ask for them within your state.  Thank you Cholly!

You'll have to search within your state for local breeders and adhere to the laws where you live. Requests for them on websites from non-local breeders and suppliers can get everyone involved in trouble.

thought this might help brigs aka mystery snails are legal even for shipping across state borders and Spixis from what I understand it are illegal. Although they can be found locally and kept legally. They can not cross state borders. Except brigs which no longer require permits. I use to have a Marisa Apple snail. He was in my possession during the initiation of the ban. He was legal because he did not cross state lines and I purchased him before the ban was implemented. So anyways I think there needs to be someone to do a little research on what is illegal to trade or sell in the United States that way we can alll be well informed. The sad thing about the whole situation is that they would not need to be banned if people would not release aquarium pets into water ways. to help protect pet owners. I recommend not getting something you can not care for as an adult and if you find yourself in a position to where you are unable to take care of a pet. Find someone to take care of it or as much as I hate to say it put the poor animal down.  Odds are you will find someone to take whatever you have. We need to all behave as responsible pet owners and take care of our pets that way we do not give the government reason to ban them.  I pulled the below information from applesnail.net and what they wrote on their trading boards.

Canas, Marisas, and Spixi have been placed on the list of plant pests and can not be shipped out of state in the US. If you live in the United States, we will not accept posts for the trade or sale of these snails or their eggs outside of your state.

If you live outside of the United States, have these snails/eggs available and they are still legal in your area, then you may post for the sale or trade of these snails or their eggs.

This is an update in policy due to the USDA/aphis regulation change that states permits for the Pomecea bridgesii/diffusa species are no longer required. You may now post ads for bridgesii/diffusa clutches, juveniles, and adults.pbgroupie
