Can I add other cichlids?

50 gallon tank...

occupants:  2 Melanochromis auratus.... both yellow, so I'm assuming they are both female.

I did have 3 M. auratus, but the black one died....

Are there some other cichlids you would recommend adding to this tank?  Both are at least 4" long, tip to tail.

Only if you move out the auratus first. They're one of the worst species for an aquarium less than 6' long because they claim such a large territory. Females are less trouble than males, but I'm not sure if they'd accept new additions or not.
