I wonder about him a little. He doesn't respond to the other male next door or to his own reflection, nor does he seem to get any more active when I move around in front of his tank. With the other two bettas, any time I move near my desk, they get all interested (probably figuring it's food time!). This guy just ignores me. He swims around normally but just seems to take no interest in anything outside his tank.
At first I wondered if he might have vision issues, but he shot right over to the weekly bloodworms and gobbled 'em down as soon as they hit the water. My next thought was that his water might not be warm enough. His is the first tank I've put one of those little non-adjustable Tetra heaters in and I thought maybe it wasn't working right, but the thermometer reads around 76-78'ish.
I'm not sure whether he's just a very passive betta (if such a thing exists), is still settling in to his new home, or if something is amiss.
