tank mates for a divied 10gal

as it says i have a 10gal that is divied with 2 male bettas in it. what fish would be good to add? it has sand in the bottom and s planted.

You can add 2 otos but your betta might be aggressive towards them. It depends on individual bettas. When I say 2, I mean 2 per divided portion of the tank.

Personally I'd just leave it with 2 bettas.  Maybe add a nirite snail to each side for algae control.

i was thinking about adding 2 pitbull plecos to each side. i have another tank to house them if things dont work out.

I've read that those particular plecos prefer to be in groups, and you could only really put one on each side in a 10 gallon.  And also that they prefer sand cause they like to bury in it.

yeah 10 gallons divided is a bit hard to do tank buds but you may be able to do ghost shrimp, snails, something of that nature.  I wouldnt do anything that needs to have a group you dont want to over crowd.  perhaps instead just do more plants, decorations, things like that and make it a Heavy planted betta haven!  ;D

Watch out with ghost shrimp, though... sometimes they end up as betta snacks!  That just may depend on that particular betta's temperament.
