Topic: Molly rubbin against aquarium glass.

Ive got a lyrtail (i think thats u spell it) molly . anyhow the fish keeps ( from time to time ) keeps turning itself sideways and rubbin itself up and down the aqaurium glass . The fish seems to rub the ONLY the top fin .

There are no signs of ich , nothing funky lookin bout the fish . Gills are lookin fine . Eyes are looking fine . The fish eats and swims normally .

Water is good 0 ammonia 0 NitrIte and kinda hard to tell what the NitrAte is cuz the colors all look the same .

An ideas ??

Is it a new fish?  I've had new fish do that when they see their reflection in the tank wall.

nope . ive had the fish since it was a lil baby . prolly bout a year old maybe ?? if that.. anywayzx the fish STARTED doing it after i introduced a honey red gournami to the tank which mysterly died few days after addin it to the tank . which the yellow molly was chasing around the tank .


since everything seems to be normal with the fish,s appearance shud i be concerned ??

fish has been doin it since it killed (im guessin cuz the molly always chased the gouranmi around ) ... its been a cple of weeks no white spots , gills fine , etc..  but ill keep watchin the molly ( name is Sunshine ) ....

Was the gourami quarantined before you added it to the tank?
