I think the betta bug hit me HARD. I fear I will have no money for clothes or make up anymore....lol

hmmm, I am not sure if I want to breed him or buy a pair of halfmoons and breed them.

I think I will start out breeding him once and see how that goes before I invest in some halfmoons.

Is it normal for a betta to be really pale at the petstore (he was) then become very bright when put into his new home? I am shocked at the difference. He USE to be a light purple with peach but now he is a pretty blueish/purple with PINK not peach. I can tell he is sooo happy.

Yes that is very normal. With such bad living conditions in the store a betta will go pale and be sickly alot of times. once they got to a loveing home and get proper care their true colors come out.

Make sure you do ALOT of research before you start breeding!

I will not breed Nemo until I have the proper information. I did post something concerning breeding Nemo and will listen to their advice and will do tons of research.  http://www.petfish.net/forum/index.php/topic,74874.msg738145.html#msg738145

:) Thank you for your help.

Very good. Breeding can be a lot of fun and I cant even describe how happy I was the first time a pair breed successfully (my first 2 times ended with the male getting his butt kicked by the female beleave it or not). But since they take so much care you really have to be ready for the challenge. Good luck in the future with breeding if you end up trying!
