My name is Catherine and I'm a 25 year old California native. Aside from bettas my hobbies and interests include body modification, reading, video games, graphic/web design, photography, foreign languages, candle lit dinners and long walks on the beach. It's been about 4 years and I've found my way back here. I used to post every once in a while, mainly in the betta subforum, under the name Cat but the account was deactivated. Anyhow, stopped posting because I acquired one too many bettas after working at a LFS whose owner was more betta crazy as I was. (She'd go on trips to Thailand and hand pick bettas to be sent back to her store.) Eventually I stopped working there and all my bettas have passed on.
A few weeks ago I took my boyfriend's mother to Petco and she decided she was going to buy me a betta as a late/early birthday/Christmas present. Then a few days later I went and got one "for my boyfriend." Now I have one coming from Thailand on Wednesday (at least I think, not sure how all of that AquaBid business works out). The madness ensues, except this time I won't be surrounded by show quality bettas that I can have discounts on, haha.
