I have come across posts that suggest so.
If I had to live my life again, what would I avoid?

yes, Glo Fish are patented, copy righted, trade marked, and everything else you can do that is humanly possible where other people won't do it.

yep they are a product. They are NOT natural at all. They are a product of genetic engineering. You can not sell the off spring either. You could honestly get in trouble for it. If you get fry give them away or keep them but do NOT sell them as it could cause you alot of trouble.

You know, I have been wondering for quite some time whether or not trading glofish (fish, plants, inverts, etc.) for something else would technically be legal.

I imagine it is fine you just can't make a profit off of it. I would email them at glofish.com as they have contact information and ask them. I wouldn't see why you could not just trade them. Just don't breed them for money.

It's not something I would really worry about.
