Got my new camera! Canon Rebel T3. Now I just need to get a new lens and I'll be good to go for a while.

Neighbor's cat, Toby.

My dad won "best bike" during a poker run and then had to have me take photos so he could have them on FB. FB suggested that I tag myself in all 4 pictures I uploaded, so apparently I do look like my dad.

I still need to upload fireworks pictures and edit zoo pictures. I might take a nap first.

I agree, Nic's shot of the cyprus is awesome.

I like Callen's last shot. It's a classic. Steer's hind legs up in the air right after the buck attempt, rider's 1 hand gripping the rope & the other in the air Outline it & black it out like a silhouette & it could be a logo.

It's the 18-55mm that came with the camera. The plan is to get a 55-250mm lens next.

And btw, for those that haven't ever taken pictures at a rodeo right next to the fence, it's very dangerous. Had 3 encounters where the bulls saw my friend and I (she's official rodeo photographer) and charged the fence. Chicken is not a very nice bull because he came for us twice. If I remember correctly, Chicken lifted up the fence half a foot while going after a rodeo clown that was hopping the fence to get out of the way. That was two fence panels down from where I was. Exciting stuff. xD

If you can splurge the extra 200, I'd try to pick up a used 70-200 L f4 since the AF is a lot faster, and it shoots crisper. I haven't been entirely satisfied with my 55-250 because I cant shoot action/birds with it. Its a good lens, just hard for stuff that moves.

I haven't been shooting too much since I'm working on music stuff right now... Here's some flowery goodness and whatnot.

I'll definitely keep that in mind! I'm trying to collect Amazon giftcards so I can find a lens on there to curb some costs. I'd love to just have a bunch of lenses to play with.
