Rabbits make pretty good pets and pretty tasty stew. I could never eat one that I had personally raised though.

So do I, but my next door neighbors have chickens, pigeons and rabbits.

They're talking about allowing back yard chicken coops here in the city... I can't imagine having barking dogs on one side of me and clucking chickens on the other.  Not to mention they stink :(  bleh.

My next door neighbors take excellent care of theirs, no stink. And they occasionally give us eggs. Kinda small, but very tasty.

On one side we have a single guy who takes impeccable care of his house and yard and on the other side we have a couple she's late 60's, he's early 70's, who have 2 bored border collie crosses...  you all know how I feel about that >:(  They're wonderful people, they've lived there and known my family longer then I've been alive but their choice of dogs lately has driven me crazy!

I live in a rural area! And I have border collie/german shepard mixes. Our third one is pure bred! No chickens, the only noise is coming from cars(I live on Crazybusyhighway St.).
