Snails are very sensitve to meds, particularly ick meds.  Your snail likely died from posioning from the meds.

Thanks for the kind words ^_^

The med bottle says in bold letters don't use with snails, frogs or inverts hehe. Made sure I got everything of that nature moved out before I medicated. It was a sad death, he was a great looking snail. Also frustrating because I have no clue what the problem was. He was okay for a week and then became very lethargic and passed on eventually. The snails he shared the tank with are still very active.

I personally think it was the LFS's fault. I went to buy another snail from them and the woman said the tank was being medicated so she didn't want to sell them. The guy the day before didn't seem to care/tell me. Still strange the snail was active for awhile before he died though. So betta with ick and dead snail=another cut off pet store lol. I do have to say Bubbles was worth the trouble. He's a frickin' awesome little guy. Very active and happy to see me whenever I come by the tank.

You have to remember that snails do NOT have a long life span either... and higher temps will make that span shorten.  I believe for most small apple snails it's only about 16 months or so.  And you never know how long the snails had been there.

Glad to hear your betta is feelin' betta thought! :P

My friends who breed snails have kept them for upwards of 3 years actually :). They are normally found in south america so it seems odd to me that raising the temp would shorten their lifespan, most people I know keep them between 78-82.

By the way your current post count is evil! LMAO
