cool...i called my lfs and they don't carry biospira...the guy told me over the phone that do carry Biozyme, Stress Zyme and Cycle-would anyone know if any of these products help cycle a tank quickly?

I'm not sure about the Stess zyme or Biozyme, but I can tell you for sure that Cycle will definitely NOT work. It's not kept refrigerated like it should be, therefore the bacteria that are needed to help your cycle along are dead and adding it to your tank will do nothing essentially.

Cycle is a waste of money, and you'd think the company that made it would realize that they're selling a worthless product.  >:(

cool so we're not that far from one another dasauce :)  Thanks for the link..think imma order the 3oz of biospira-for 90 gallons...on the site it says u can't overdose so would that mean I would use the whole package or should I measure just for 50 gallons?  Thanks again everyone for ur input..hopefully get this tank up and running in a week or so(or as soon as I get everything ) :)

They mean that you can dump the whole pack, the bacteria that is not needed will die off......

If you can measure, I would do that xD just dump about half the pack and save the other in the fridge Just in case something happens u already have a pack rdy xD

ok..so in the process of ordering everything..ordered the bipspira-should be here in 2-3 days and the filter..unfortnately petco ran out of the biowheels 350 so i odered the filter from dr. foster and also order some azoo palm filter for my other 2.5 gallon tanks..now am about to order the heater from petco..just have 1 question..:)  I'm pretty sure the 200 watt heater should be enough for the 50 gallon but is it ok for me to get the  the 300 watt since its only 2 bucks more?  Any input greatly appreciated since I'm about to purchase it now :)  Thanks :D
