Problems with my Betta...Part 2
« on: September 14, 2005, 01:24:49 PM »
Last week or so I posted a comment about how my new Betta stays at the very top of his tank.  Well, I have done water changes, added sea salt, etc.  He still seems to stay on the top.  I know he isn't forced to stay on the top, because I rarely see him swim around his tank, and float down without trying.  He also eats all of his food now, he wasn't last week.

What else could be forcing him to stay at the very top?  He only tried to jump out once.

Also, is sea salt needed for Betta's?  I don't use it in my goldfish tank, but I dunno how different Betta's are from goldfish...

I'm sorry, I don't know why he is staying at the top like that. My best guess is that he likes it up there. :P I wouldn't worry about it, if he is eating and appears otherwise healthy, he is probably fine, just keep a close eye on him.
Aquarium salt isn't needed for a betta tank, but it does have benefits.
