They've hatched!!!!!

Sometime last night they started hatching!!!  The proud father is now trying frantically to keep them all in the nest!  For not yet free-swimming fry they're awfully mobile!  For anyone who's read BettaTalk's spawning instructions, the description of the father and fry is remarkably accurate as well as amusing!

I suspect i'm going to loose a great deal of fry to the floor of the tank  :-\  probly a good thing though, cause i'm not sure what I would do if they all survived!

Congrats!! They may not be totally lost...keep that light on them and the dad may find them and put them back in the nest. Do you know about how many there are?

There are tons and tons lol, at least 50+ and I want to say 100+ though they're so small its hard to say.  He did find some of hte one's on the floor from the looks of it,  poor guy looks like he's spent the whole day chasing babies!  I dropped in two dried bloodworms and he spit out a mouthfull of babies, gobbled down the worms and gathered back up the mouthfull of babies before they hit hte bottom lol.

I tried for pics but you can't see the babies, they're too small!

So cute! I always find it interesting on how *edit*- big these critters have to grow to become like their adult parents or just adults.lol. Well, compared to humans anyway. Nature is amazing.lol. Congrats!!!
