Sounds good! a male or female (not both! ) would be very happy in a tank like that. From the measurements the seller gives it looks like it'd be over 3 gallons

It probably wouldn't be a good idea, females can be quite aggressive with one another and do better in larger groups (5 or more) where the aggression is more evenly distributed. Also as a group they'd need more space to hide and get away from one another, so the minimal for multiple females IMO would be a ten gallon (max 5).

::edit:: you could divide the tank though, since the tank is large enough.

ok thanks hun, i will stick 2 getting one betta, will a single fish get lonley or are thye ok on their own?

They should do fine. Most bettas aren't opposed to a life of solitude
