Does anyone have a divided ten gallon?? I want to keep my bettas in cycled tanks. I'm going away for 10 days and the friend who's coming to watch the fish won't be anle to come every second day do change water inb the small 2 gallon. Could I divide the 10 to three? That's pretty small. I have the 20 gallon but the filter makes dividing to three a problem. I could get a holding thing that hooks on side of the 20?? Would that be okay for 10 days?

A 10 gallon tank divided into 3 is 3.3 gallons per part, which is larger than the 2 gallons they are in now.

I've got mine divided into three-I used the craft mesh. It works great and the bettas seem really happy in there. I think it makes water changes much easier. Everytime I gravel vac I clean the bottom of a section.

I would only be doing it temp for the holidays, I'm planning on buying a long tank maybe 30 gallon and dooing a waterfall of plants from above into the tank. Once I figure out how to cover it so my cats don't go fishing the extra guy will be in there!! So maybe using the craft stuff to creat a "bucket" to hang on the side of the 20 will work fine!!

3 of my boys are in a divided ten, its a bit narrow yes, but not small really, and not any narrower than a 2.5 gallon tank is wide really.

mushi's betta page has some realy nice set ups for divided tanks. i have a 20g thats divided four times. i could have done more but I didn't like how narrow they would have appeared. i've got two tens i'm prepping to divide in three (each) again anymore then that I dont like the narrow room.

I bought another 10 gallon today, so I'll be cycling that for the other one. Then I can not worry so much about changes and I'm not getting anymore fish!!!I'll have 1 5 gallon, 2 10 gallon and 1 20gallon1 LOL That's enough
