There is a medicine called 'melafix'
It can cure all types of diseases.

IT won't hurt any of your snails (I know it because I am using it and I have some shrimps)

I use Melafix for treating wounds, but I don't think I've heard of it as being effective treatment for parasites.
For Ich, if you raise the salt level in your tank over a period of a few days to up to about .3% (about 2 level tsp. per gallon), it will be tolerated (not loved, but tolerated) by Apple Snails.
From Applesnail.net:
Quote
Apple snails tolerate little amounts of salt if you slowly build up the concentration. Be sure that the salt is dissolved before you put it in the tank so that the snail won't get in contact with the pure stuff.
If you see that the snails stay in their shell for more than a day, then lower the salt concentration
(if it isn't too late :().
Experiences with apple snails and salt from a reader:
"My pond contains several very large koi and we routinely use salt to control parasites.
I'm happy to report that my apple snails tolerate 0.3% (3 lbs per 100 US gallons) of salt very well.
We dose 0.1% ever 12-24 hours for 3 treatments.
As a side note, this also seems to kill the snail parasites as well.

hi,
do you use epsom or aquarium salt on this ich??? put in a teaspoon of epsom in 1 gallon--is this right? if it should be the aquarium salt, is it ok to mix that along with the epsom too same time?? by the way, there is a snail in there and this snail has something like leftover food or moss attached to him and dragging it around for days. Is this safe? should I pull it out? Is this part cause of the ich from snails who might be infected??

Snails don't get Ich. Snails and Ich parasites are very closely related, so Ich parasites don't use snails as a host. At least, that's my understanding. At any rate, snails don't get Ich cysts that I've ever been aware. Epsom salts and aquarium salt are two very different chemicals which are used to treat two very different sets of symptoms.

I didnt want to start a new thread on this, ( there are too many with my name on them already.... ) so I am posting here... hope someone see's it!!

today I found out what I think is ich is in my tank. so I ran to walmart, got  some ich clear by jungle , and a one gallon tank cause I didnt know if it would kill my snails..

Now, I put my snails in the one gallon, ( and my clams)
I put in tank water from the old tank ( I had asked in the help section but noone awnsered and I needed to get this done... )  I put in egg shells and food.  all the snails and clams are moving around. have been for a few hours.

Well I treated my tank, and decided to go back to putting salt in it too. Now I know that snails dont like salt, BUT, can get used to it.  I used to have salt in my tank, then when I got snails I quit putting it in. decided I might need to restart to keep the ich and all down..

SO my question is this.:

Since I cant very well adapt the snails to the salt slowly in the other tank ( I am only gona do the one rounded tablespoon per 15 gallons)  I wanted to try and get them used to the salt slowly in the 'quarentein' tank.  so should I put in a granuel of salt daily? or 3 granuels daily till I get up to 1/15 of a tablespoon of salt in the one gallon??  I fiqure that is about 5-7 granuels..  ( my ciferin aint real good... )

I dont want to shock them when I put them back in the big tank..

:)

lol So's my Mom and she's the light of my life next to my children!
If you've set the level of salt in the main tank at 1 Tbsp. per 15 gallons water, then you'd need to go to that ratio in the tank the snails are in before re-introducing them to the main tank. That's what I would do anyway. I would say you'd be safe to put about 1/4 tsp. in your one gallon container that currently houses your snails. Watch their behavior for an hour or so afterward. If it's too much, they'll show you. They'll either close up tightly and cease all activity, try to bury themselves in the substrate (if there's any in the tank) or they'll try to get above the water line. Those are some tell-tale stress behaviors for snails.
At any rate, if they tolerate the 1/4 tsp. in the gallon container, they'll tolerate the 1 Tbsp. per 15 gallons in your main tank, IMHO. If they don't tolerate it, do a water change and try 1/2 of that dosage. Then, raise it to that dosage in a day or two (monitoring their behavior). IME, you shouldn't have a problem with this low salt level.
If you maintain that level in your main tank, you'll not have to acclimate them to the salt again. I use salt in tanks that aren't planted (snails or no snails).

Ok... I'm ultra late on this, but I'll post anyway..

It's my understanding that it's the copper that kills snails, and although I've used quick cure (malachite green, has copper, can give you the formula for it if you want ;) ) with success in a tank infested with pond snails, I can't think of anything besides salt and copper that people use to cure ich.

On the jungle products note... I've tried jungle's ich cure stuff before, it doesn't seem to work at all. I used the tabs.. No luck. I don't know if it kills snails because I don't remember, but they do have a liquid form for scaleless things, like plecos and stuff. It's probably just dilluted.. I don't really know.

I use Jungle Ick Guard. I add Ick Guard whenever I buy new fish or snails from a pet store as a precautionary measure. I have never had any problems. YEAH!
